My Tug-of-War (and Yours?)
Inner Peace Connection Plot Twist

Hello Beautiful Human,
In today's Inner Peace Connection, I'm peeling back the curtain to share a little bit about my own experience with resistance to change.
Ultimately, it reminded me that awareness is the most powerful tool in realigning with your truth when experiencing that internal tug-of-war.
I was all set to launch the first installment of the Inner Peace Pillars series this week, everything was scheduled, and then... something shifted.
I decided, quite suddenly, to move the newsletter delivery day from Thursday to Saturday.
Initially, I'd been stuck on this idea that I wanted to be different, that sending the newsletter mid-week was somehow strategic. But the truth is, this newsletter has always embodied a weekend vibe.
That feeling of inner peace, of intentionally disconnecting to reconnect, and of truly being present, all things that can feel elusive during the busy work week (until you find that mindful moment, of course!).
The very essence of the newsletter is to inspire disconnecting in order to reconnect. I wasnβt truly embodying that vibration by stubbornly pushing it out on Thursdays.
This simple decision, though, opened up a whole internal debate.
It's funny how the smallest things can trigger such inner turmoil, right?
My mind started throwing thoughts at me like, "Why didn't you just do that from the beginning when you felt the nudge to share it on Saturday?"
It was dripping with judgment, a harsh feeling that I should have known better from the start. Underneath it all, there was this underlying sense that I was somehow failing by not getting it 'right' the first time or being 'behind.'
Then another thought bubbled up, "Is this actually fear showing up, trying to hold me back?"
This one felt deeper, more insidious, like a part of me was actively trying to sabotage this simple shift.
Was I afraid of slowing down? Of not appearing productive?
The resistance I felt felt like pure self-sabotage.
It felt like an aspect of me was afraid because I realized this newsletter is my life's mission and that the path of inner peace is what I am truly passionate about.
And that's when I reminded myself that inner peace isn't some constant state of bliss where everything flows effortlessly.
It's the awareness of what's robbing us of our calm, aware, grounded state in the first place.
It's about navigating those nagging thoughts, those underlying fears, and those unexpected internal tug-of-wars to find our neutral state and intentionally realign with our truth.
This week, that meant recognizing the judgment and the fear, and gently guiding myself back to the core intention behind the shift to Saturday.
It meant consciously acknowledging that maybe the initial plan needed some tweaking, that we get to be kind to ourselves in the process of learning what works best, and that's okay.
Inner peace isn't some far-off destination to be reached, but a moment-to-moment practice of intentional realignment every single time we find ourselves veering off course.
Now that we've explored how recognizing resistance can bring us closer to inner peace, and I still kept my word of a Thursday newsletter this week, I can't wait to dive even deeper.
Keep an eye on your inbox this Saturday! I'll be sending out this week's Inner Peace Connection, where I'll be introducing the first pillar on a path to inner peace.
And moving forward you can expect this newsletter to his your inbox every Saturday!
